Owls are one of natures most incredible animals. Their eyesight is unbelievable. They can detect the movement of a mouse up to a half mile away, and they can see in the dark way better than we can.
Know why an own can turn its head on its neck up to 270 degrees? It's because they're eyes don't move! They have to be able to turn their head to see something to the side.
Hang an owl in your tree this year. Our owl ornaments feature the northern spotted owl. Made from durable plywood or acrylic mirror, the ornaments come in two sizes, 2" or 2-3/4". Ornaments are hung on the tree with a twine loop.
Available woods include red alder and maple, beautiful light woods with very little grain, making them best for lakes with lots of little islands, bays or peninsulas. Oak, cedar and mahogany are also gorgeous woods, but with a lot more grain, making them better for lakes without a lot of fine features. Mahogany and Walnut are darker and rich, and bamboo is a yellower wood with an extreme amount of grain, making all of them most suitable for simple, featureless lakes.
You can add some glitter to your tree with ornaments cut from an acrylic mirror. Choose a glass-like clear mirror, or a bright, shiny red mirror.
