Monarchs are amazing. Of course they're beautiful, but their lives are truly incredible. Unlike other butterflies who are able to survive cold winters, monarchs are forced to migrate to warm climates every year. Monarchs from the western US winter in southern California, while monarchs from the eastern states tend to winter in the Sierra Madres of Mexico. The most northern monarchs can migrate over 3000 miles!
These earrings commemorate the amazing monarch. The pendants are laser-cut from 1/8" solid wood and come in three sizes. The large size measures about 1-1/2" across. The medium is about 1-1/8", and the small size measures about 3/4". The earrings are attached with open hooks. All components are environmentally friendly and are lead- and nickel-free.
Available woods include red alder, a beautiful light wood with a fine grain. Cherry is a slightly darker wood with a more variable grain. Walnut is a rich, dark wood with a fine grain.
You can also brighten up your day with a shiny, reflective necklace cut from an acrylic mirror.
